Our garden still provides me with interesting wildlife....

The past week has seen our weather change from bright and sunny, to overcast, with thunderstorms!  As I write this blog, it is raining again, but although most of gods creatures are taking shelter, it is still possible to seek out some subjects to photograph, if you brave the elements and know where to look.

Asian Hornet......these are serious invaders, that can put a grown man into hospital.

There is no 'trail cam' footage this week, as I have taken the opportunity to position the camera, in to our neighbours lake!  As their land, borders our own, I have been able to visit the lake on a daily basis, and have recently disturbed a couple of herons.  They are not frequent visitors, so I am hoping that over the coming weeks, the 'trail cam' may pick them up.........we will have to wait and see!

In the meantime, here are some of my favourite shots, from the last 7 days.

  1. You have so much in your garden and a great selection of photos. I still disagree with the fritillary ID, but without seeing the underside it is very difficult, they are all very alike. I have yet to see a humming bird Hawk Moth this year but our lavender is not even in bud yet, though the sage is now in flower so maybe they will arrive very soon. Stay well and stay safe both of you,Diane
